Starting on July 1, 2010, uninsured New Mexico residents with pre-existing medical conditions may now qualify for the new Federal High Risk Pool (FHRP). This program was created as one of the first initiatives under the federal "Patient Protection and Affordable Care Act."

In New Mexico, the federal program is administered by the New Mexico Medical Insurance Pool, a New Mexico non-profit organization established in 1987 by the New Mexico State Legislature that operates the New Mexico High Risk Pool (NMHRP).

We are excited to bring our experience and expertise that has made the New Mexico High Risk Pool a success, to uninsured New Mexicans who qualify for the federal pool.
